Supporting Global Entrepreneurs from Singapore Through Strategic Guidance and Collaboration

May 22, 2025

The Singapore Business Federation (SBF) is Singapore’s primary business chamber, representing over 32,000 companies across sectors. As the official voice of the business community, SBF is a key force in supporting digital transformation, internationalization, sustainability, and inclusive growth for Singaporean enterprises globally. In its ongoing mission to equip businesses for expansion, SBF led a high-impact delegation to the 2025 SelectUSA Investment Summit in National Harbor, Maryland.

Ines had the privilege of partnering with the SBF team to support this exceptional cohort of founders and business leaders. The collaboration began before the Summit, when Ines hosted a preparatory workshop covering SelectUSA fundamentals, U.S. market dynamics, and go-to-market strategy for international companies. This session laid the groundwork for personalized pitch reviews, strategic mentorship, and a warm welcome into the U.S. business landscape.

What followed at the Summit went beyond insights and strategy, it was a masterclass in purpose-driven collaboration. Led by visionaries such as Ping Soon Kok, Su-San Yio, Jonathan Choy, and Charlene Y., the SBF delegation embodied generosity, excellence, and unity. The delegates represented a diverse range of industries, yet shared a collective spirit of innovation and service.

Among them were standout founders including Ivan Weichean NG, Leon Hou Liang, Vinesh Natali, Jason Ng, Dr. Wu Nai-En, Chun Yew Wong, Saras A., Praveen Kumar B, and Prabhu N. Their humility, clarity of purpose, and openness to growth made a lasting impression, not only on U.S. partners and Economic Development Officers, but on everyone who had the chance to engage with them.

One example of this collaboration was Ines’s role mentoring Aaron Teo, founder of O.Space, a startup revolutionizing modular interiors through smart, reconfigurable wall systems made from recycled materials. As an equity-holding strategic advisor, Ines provided Aaron with high-level guidance across brand positioning, U.S. go-to-market planning, and pitch refinement. Their work together extended from virtual meetings to in-person touchpoints at the Summit, reflecting Ines’s commitment to supporting founders who are building with impact.

Throughout the week, Ines saw the spirit of collaboration come to life. As she shared in her reflections in her LinkedIn post, “I witnessed seasoned entrepreneurs lifting newer ones, sharing insights freely, and modeling what ‘collaboration over competition’ looks like in action.” It was a clear example of how global business leaders can come together not just to scale companies, but to foster values-driven ecosystems.

The momentum doesn’t stop here. Ines will continue to advise several companies from the delegation as they take next steps toward U.S. incorporation, investment, and strategic partnerships.
