Sharing Insights as a Speaker at Ellevate Summit 2025, Tunisia

On July 9, 2025, Ellevate Summit returned to Yasmine Hammamet, Tunisia, as a high-impact gathering of global changemakers, bold entrepreneurs, and diaspora leaders. Hosted by Open Minds in partnership with 1kub, this year's summit blended powerful storytelling, innovative tech, and global dialogue under the theme of leadership, innovation, and connection.

Among the highlights was the highly anticipated "Diaspora Voices: Tunisian Dreams Built Abroad" panel, a moving segment where Tunisian changemakers from across the globe shared stories of identity, sacrifice, and purpose.

A Quiet Return to the Spotlight

After a deeply personal period of rebuilding, Ines returned to the stage to share her story in a segment she described as "a quiet return, a moment of reflection, reconnection, and renewed purpose."

Titled "The Price of Our Dreams," Ines's talk offered an honest and vulnerable look at what it means to leave behind success in search of deeper impact.

"I didn't leave Tunisia because I failed," she shared. "I walked away from a life I loved: a career I had built, a voice that was heard. But I had to answer the call for more. And it came at a price."

She reflected on the invisible labor of starting over in a new country: navigating systems, rebuilding credibility, and holding on to a dream when no one else could yet see it.

Ines was joined on stage by other trailblazers from the Tunisian diaspora, including:

Each speaker offered a unique lens on how to lead, build, and stay connected to Tunisia, even from afar. The audience responded with warmth and enthusiasm, praising the panel as one of the most heartfelt and empowering moments of the summit. What followed after Ines's talk was deeply emotional. People, many of whom she had never met before, came up to her in tears, thanking her, sharing their own stories, and embracing her with heartfelt hugs.

The power of speaking openly, from a place of vulnerability and strength, turned the moment into something much larger than a talk. It became a space of shared healing.

Beyond the panel, the summit featured immersive AR/VR workshops, a "Fail Forward" discussion on growth through adversity, Diasporactive startup pitches, and an expo of inspiring entrepreneurs. The day ended with live music, networking, and joy-filled moments of reconnection.
