Olympic Growth Playbook: A Webinar on Winning Strategies with SCORE LA
Sep 29, 2025SCORE Los Angeles, a leading chapter of the national SCORE network, provides free and confidential business mentoring, workshops, and educational resources to entrepreneurs throughout Los Angeles County. In 2024 alone, the chapter supported over 18,000 local small business owners, helping them grow sustainably and confidently through one-on-one mentoring, hands-on workshops, and practical business guidance.
Building on this success, SCORE Los Angeles has launched the SCORE Olympic Small Business Initiative, designed to help local entrepreneurs capitalize on the economic opportunities tied to the upcoming LA28 Olympic Games. The program equips small business owners with strategies to leverage increased traffic, visibility, and consumer activity around mega-events.
On September 26, 2025, SCORE Los Angeles hosted a powerful online workshop led by educator and online growth specialist Ines. The webinar, titled Olympic Growth Playbook: How Small Businesses Can Scale with Proven Strategies, attracted entrepreneurs eager to learn how to capture new opportunities tied to global events like the upcoming LA28 Olympic Games.
Ines opened the session by reminding participants that mega-events such as the Olympics, the World Cup, and international conferences generate unprecedented traffic, visibility, and customer activity in local markets. The real challenge, she explained, is not in catching the buzz but in building strategies that convert short-term attention into long-term business growth.
The workshop introduced attendees to a five-step Olympic Growth Playbook designed for small businesses: Spot, Convert, Integrate, Maximize, and Sustain. Through this framework, Ines walked participants through how to anticipate opportunities before competitors, create offers that resonate with event-driven audiences, and use digital tools to make marketing efforts work seamlessly together.
Drawing from Los Angeles case studies, including the Super Bowl LVI and LA Fashion Week, Ines highlighted how cafés, fashion retailers, and wellness studios successfully leveraged event momentum to gain visibility and new customers. She also shared global examples from Spain to Montenegro. These cases show how pairing local strengths with global opportunities creates sustained impact.
Attendees especially appreciated the actionable nature of the session. Instead of abstract ideas, Ines shared practical tools such as Google Business Profile optimization, Eventbrite listings, local collaborations, and geo-targeted digital ads. She emphasized affordable, repeatable strategies that small businesses can implement immediately.
One highlight was the 30/60/90 day action plan that gave participants a clear roadmap: audit their online presence in 30 days, form partnerships within 60 days, and launch repeatable, event-tied campaigns within 90 days. Participants left with a downloadable workbook, checklists, and tools to keep them on track.
The energy of the session reflected the urgency of the moment. With Los Angeles preparing for LA28, business owners were keen to understand how to plan ahead. Ines reinforced that “opportunities are won months before the event,” urging participants to prepare now, rather than wait for the last-minute surge of visitors.
Feedback from attendees was overwhelmingly positive. Many described the session as “eye-opening” and “exactly what I needed to position my business for LA28.” Others noted how refreshing it was to learn strategies that balanced ambition with affordability.
Ines closed with a simple but powerful message:
“Think beyond the buzz. Build strategies that outlast a single campaign.”
