Ines Nasri Was Invited as a Guest Panelist in MALTA SME WEEK 2020

The Malta Employers’ Association (MEA), founded in 1958, advocates for businesses in Malta by bringing together employers and influences government policy-making to create a strong economy. The MEA also helps with employer-employee relations in the region. Malta is an island republic in the Mediterranean Sea.

In October 2020, the MEA, in collaboration with Malta’s Ministry for the Economy, Investment and Small Business, and their Parliamentary Secretariat for Financial Services and Digital Economy, organized a virtual event called “Digitisation and Reskilling - The Key for Resilience.” This event addressed the urgent challenges faced by small and medium businesses (SMEs) during the pandemic and its effect on the economy.

This event was co-organized by Malta’s government entities and was live-streamed for wider access. 

Malta’s government leaders, such as Hon. Silvio Schembri, Minister for the Economy, Investment, and Small Businesses, among others, and the renowned futurist and humanist, Gerd Leonhard, participated in the event. 

Ines Nasri, was a key contributor to the event. She shared her expertise and insights on various topics, including the importance of having a digital policy, her role in assisting SMEs in Tunisia and the U.S.A. with digitalization, the role of digital transformation in COVID-19 recovery, its implementation, and digital readiness. She also shed light on the challenges to digital transformation, such as the global shortage of digital skills.

The insights provided by Ines and from the panel's distinguished members were beneficial and timely for the SMEs catered by the event in dealing with the erstwhile challenges posted by COVID-19 and confronting challenges posted by earth-shaking changes happening worldwide.
