Ines Mentors International Women Founders at SGWIT 2026

The SelectUSA Investment Summit is the United States’ primary event dedicated to promoting foreign direct investment (FDI) and supporting international business growth in the American market. Hosted by the U.S. Department of Commerce, the summit drew more than 5,500 attendees in 2025, including economic development organizations (EDOs) representing all U.S. states and territories, over 2,700 business investors from more than 100 countries, and industry experts who provide insights and guidance for companies looking to expand or invest in the United States.

The Select Global Women in Tech (SGWIT) series is more than a mentorship program at the SelectUSA Investment Summit; it is a learning and networking platform that matches international women leaders with experienced mentors based on their industries, goals, and business challenges. The platform allows mentees to connect with mentors like Ines in one-on-one sessions, providing tailored guidance on business scaling, fundraising, digital strategy, and market entry in the United States. Mentorship ensures that participants receive the right support for their unique business objectives.

Since 2022, Ines has remained deeply committed to the SGWIT community, serving as a mentor and supporting international women founders as they prepare to enter and grow in the U.S. market. Her commitment to the program continues to grow stronger each year, driven by her belief that women founders are at the heart of innovation and global business growth. Returning to the Gaylord National Resort for the 2026 cohort kickoff marked another meaningful milestone in her mentorship journey.

The 2026 SGWIT cohort officially began at the SelectUSA Investment Summit from May 3–6, bringing together U.S. and international business leaders, investors, and policymakers for four days of collaboration and learning. The program started early with a 7:30 AM breakfast that set the tone for an energetic and highly engaged cohort. Some of the most impactful moments took place during the Mix and Mingle sessions in the Tech Lounge, where founders and mentors connected through informal conversations, practical discussions, and strategic advice-sharing. For Ines, these sessions continue to be one of the most rewarding parts of the program, offering the opportunity to support founders as they navigate the complexities of the U.S. market with clarity and confidence.

During the kickoff, Ines was also met with Kelly Coldiron, Acting Director of SelectUSA, and appreciated her strong support for the SGWIT initiative and its mission to empower women founders globally.
