Ines Leads SCORE Webinar on Social Media Strategies for 2026

Mar 12, 2026

SCORE Los Angeles, the local chapter of the nation’s premier nonprofit small business mentoring organization, hosted an insightful webinar on March 11 titled “Social Media Simplified: A Beginner‑Friendly Strategy That Actually Works in 2026.” As part of SCORE’s mission to help small businesses get off the ground, grow, and achieve long‑term success through education and mentoring, the Los Angeles chapter supports local entrepreneurs with free business counseling, tailored workshops, and practical tools delivered by experienced volunteers from industry and leadership backgrounds. SCORE is a trusted resource partner of the U.S. Small Business Administration and connects small business owners with expert business mentors while offering low‑ or no‑cost workshops that cover a wide array of topics, from marketing and planning to digital growth and financial strategy.

On March 11, business owners gathered virtually to learn how to approach social media with clarity, confidence, and efficiency without getting lost in trends or complexity. Ines led the session with her trademark focus on simplicity and systems that busy entrepreneurs can realistically maintain. Instead of overwhelming attendees with tactics, she shared frameworks that help small businesses stay visible online, build trust with their audience, and generate real leads, all without spending hours daily on social platforms. The reception was excellent; participants asked many thoughtful questions and shared how much they appreciated learning new strategies for the first time, particularly how platforms like LinkedIn and short‑form video can boost visibility when used intentionally.

The webinar opened with a clear explanation of the evolving role of social media in 2026. Ines emphasized that while platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Facebook continue to be powerful business discovery channels, success today goes beyond being seen. Businesses must use social media strategically to build credibility and foster connection with their audiences. She also introduced the concept of digital assets, owned online properties like websites, email lists, Google Business Profiles, and branded content, which form the backbone of a strong online presence and support long‑term business authority.

Participants were quick to point out how refreshing it was to hear that social media success doesn’t require daily posting, complicated tools, or chasing viral content. Instead, the focus should be on clarity, consistency, and trust. Ines outlined the three core goals every small business should aim for on social media: stay visible, build trust, and make contact easy. Every post, she explained, should help potential customers understand what the business does and how to engage with it.

A key highlight for many was the set of ChatGPT prompts Ines shared to simplify content creation. These prompts help generate ideas, draft posts, create short video scripts, and turn real business experiences into compelling stories, saving time while ensuring content remains authentic and effective. Attendees left with actionable tools they could use immediately to plan posts and turn engagement into meaningful conversations that lead to clients.

Ines also provided a 90‑day social media action plan, guiding business owners step by step through choosing the best platform, defining core content topics, batching weekly content in under an hour, engaging with their audiences, and tracking what works. This structured, manageable system was widely praised by participants, many of whom commented that it made social media feel less intimidating and far more strategic.

As small businesses navigate the evolving digital landscape, sessions like this from SCORE Los Angeles remain essential resources that empower founders with practical skills and confidence to grow online.
